Watoto- A Success Story

Watoto is a charity based in Kampala, Uganda, set up in response to the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in the country. It aims to rescue and raise the children and women, so that in the future they can rebuild their nation.

our community in Busia

Watoto provides physical care, medical treatment, education, counseling and spiritual discipleship in order to raise skilled, productive Christian citizens who can be the leaders of tomorrow.

Rather than operating as an orphanage in the traditional sense, Watoto builds families and communities.

as part of Shine Outreach UK's work

This is a success story and shows that you can really change the lives of many children through the provision of education and care.
Shine Outreach UK sees their outstanding work as inspiration and hopes to help the children of Maanga develop and prosper, in a similar way. This gives hope for a bright future of the charity and the children who can see their lives changed for the better. Shine Outreach UK plans to restore families to the orphaned children in Maanga through building family homes. The next fundraising target is to pay for a teacher for the education building, which is now completed, as well as complete buying desks and beds for the first group of children to live and school through the work of Shine Outreach UK.
